Behaviour Mentor Jobs - St Helens Schools

What could the role involve?

Depending on the individual school and pupil cohort, responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group behaviour support
• Building positive relationships with pupils
• Supporting students with SEMH needs
• Helping pupils regulate emotions and behaviour
• Encouraging positive engagement with learning
• Supporting attendance and reintegration
• Working alongside teaching and pastoral teams
• Implementing individual behaviour strategies
• Helping pupils develop confidence and resilience
• Providing consistent boundaries and expectations

Who are we looking for?

This could suit candidates with backgrounds including:

• Behaviour Mentor
• Behaviour Support Worker
• SEMH Support Worker
• Youth Worker
• Pastoral Support Worker
• Learning Mentor
• Teaching Assistant with significant behaviour experience
• Sports Coach with strong pastoral experience
• Residential or youth support professional

Experience working with secondary-aged pupils and young people with additional needs would be particularly beneficial.
