About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students who require additional guidance to manage their behaviour and stay engaged in their learning.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs

Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement behaviour strategies
-
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
-
De-escalating challenging situations and supporting students to make better choices
-
Acting as a positive role model, building strong and trusting relationships with students
-
Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom
This is a hands-on, dynamic role that requires someone who is confident, calm under pressure, and consistent in their approach.
Candidate Profile:
This role would suit candidates who:

Hold a degree or have relevant professional experience

Have experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Prison Officer, or Learning Mentor

Possess strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and authoritative

Are confident working with challenging behaviour in a school setting

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Are resilient, patient, and proactive

Have a genuine passion for supporting young people
