Location: Wandsworth, Inner London
Pay: £715 per week
Contract: Full-time, 1-Year Fixed Term

A well-structured and high-performing secondary school in Wandsworth is seeking a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join their team on a full-time, one-year fixed-term contract with an immediate start.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students who require additional guidance to manage their behaviour and stay engaged in their learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs

  • Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement behaviour strategies

  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

  • De-escalating challenging situations and supporting students to make better choices

  • Acting as a positive role model, building strong and trusting relationships with students

  • Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom

This is a hands-on, dynamic role that requires someone who is confident, calm under pressure, and consistent in their approach.

Candidate Profile:

This role would suit candidates who:

  • Hold a degree or have relevant professional experience

  • Have experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Prison Officer, or Learning Mentor

  • Possess strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and authoritative

  • Are confident working with challenging behaviour in a school setting

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Are resilient, patient, and proactive

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting young people
