Role

Before and/or After School Club Supervisor - Hartfield (TN7) / Groombridge (TN3), Royal Tunbridge Wells, East Sussex

Hours: 7:30-9am and/or 3pm-6pm Monday to Friday during school term-time. Hours can be flexible based on individual availability, although ideally you will be available for ALL hours.

Pay: Up to £14.21 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Transport: Please note: Due to the remote location of the schools, the ability to drive will be hugely advantageous as public transport routes do not operate at all times.

We are recruiting for a leading provider of out of school hours and wraparound childcare for primary school children in East Sussex. This company continues to grow in size every year and are looking for someone who has either permanent, regular, or even ad-hoc availability to join their team of wraparound childcare workers.

As a Wraparound Childcare Supervisor you don't need to have any specific qualifications (having them would be great!), but you will ideally have experience working with children and

Responsibilities
  • Experience Leading a Team - understanding that you need to be fair, genuine and heartfelt, and respect everyone's differences and uniqueness, whilst also ensuring safety and professionalism
  • A Passion for Working with Children - we're looking for someone to provide inclusive, fun, and engaging provision for the children in your care, while inspiring them to explore their interests
  • Enthusiasm and Organisation Skills - you will be assisting with the planning and delivery of activities with structure and enthusiasm. This includes a wide range of activities, including multi-sports, indoor and outdoor games, arts & crafts, downtime and structured play
  • Responsibility and Reliability - the safety and enjoyment of the children in your care will be your responsibility and all team members are required to follow specific policies and procedures, including completing registers, accident and incident forms and health & safety checks as needed, and the children and families also benefit from consistently reliable staff
  • Communication and Engagement - all Childcare Play Workers are expected to conduct themselves professionally and communicate effectively with all team members, parents, children and schools on a daily basis. You will be a representative of the organisation's brand, so it's key to always be a pleasure to be around.
Requirements

This is a term-time role, due to formally starting in September 2026. Please only apply if you are available to work term-time hours from September.

An earlier start date could be accommodated depending on travel and availability.

This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
