Banking & Finance Associate 3-6 PQE Birmingham or London

INTERIM OPPORTUNITY

I'm working with a highly regarded Banking & Finance team within a well-established international firm, looking to add a 3-6 PQE Associate to their Birmingham or London office.

This is a genuinely broad mid market finance role. The team advises on UK and cross-border transactions across sectors including energy, infrastructure, financial services, tech, healthcare and private equity. You'll get exposure to acquisition finance, corporate lending, asset and receivables finance, project finance, and hedging/derivatives work.

The team acts for banks, borrowers and PE houses on both bilateral and syndicated matters (mid market and investment grade). The role will involve:

• Drafting and negotiating senior and mezzanine facilities
• Security and intercreditor arrangements
• Leveraged acquisition finance transactions
• Corporate lending (lender and borrower side)
• Asset backed / receivables finance
• Project finance documentation
• Cross border transactions (including managing overseas counsel)
• ISDA and hedging documentation
• Working closely with corporate, real estate, pensions and construction teams

You'll be joining a partner led, close knit team known for delivering high quality work without the hierarchy you might find elsewhere. There's strong early client exposure and the opportunity to take real ownership of transactions.

• 3 6 PQE Banking & Finance lawyer
• Strong technical grounding across general banking work
• Comfortable running high value transactions with limited supervision
• Commercial, confident with clients and proactive in approach
• Interested in business development and building relationships
