The post will provide the following services to the relevant Directorate (not exhaustive):

• To provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to wards and departments within the relevant directorate.
• To provide clinical support to the relevant directorate.
• Support safe prescribing and medication governance.
• Participate in service improvement projects.
• To continuously monitor the drug expenditure against budgets for the relevant directorate.
• Review and develop treatment guidelines and PGDs.
• Participate in the training of pharmacists, doctors, nurses and undergraduate students.

Applicants must be registered with the GPhC, have a broad range of hospital pharmacy experience and have or be working towards a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
