Job Overview

Bank Maintenance Person. Salary: £14.10 per hour. Working Hours: Bank 0 hour contract. Location: Llys Hafren.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the exterior of the building and grounds to a safe and good standard.
• Coordinate and control all building works and refurbishments with minimum disturbance to residents and staff.
• Carry out routine monitoring and repairs on all systems and liaise with the Home Manager for specialist repairs if necessary.
• Ensure regular testing and checks-boilers, fire alarm systems, water services and temperature-are carried out and recorded.
• Advise the Home Manager on potential maintenance problems (heating systems, refrigeration, electrics, gas, faulty equipment).
• Comply with Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH, environmental health and fire safety regulations and record all safety checks.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness within the care home and grounds to meet regulatory standards.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and stored safely.
• Act as the first point of call for staff when repairs are required and assist with staff induction on emergency procedures.
• Provide telephone advice and be prepared to respond to emergencies when off duty.
• Assist with driving the care home's minibus or similar vehicles for residents' outings as requested by the Home Manager.
• Receive full training, including a leadership programme that supports development and progression opportunities within Shaw.

Remuneration and Work Details

Salary: £14.10 per hour (Real Living Wage). Working Hours: Bank 0 hour contract. Location: Llys Hafren.
