We are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist to work within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team via a Bank Contract based in Radlett. The role involves reception and administrative duties to support the clinical team.
Main duties- Manage incoming calls and contact service users as required on behalf of the team.
- Sort and issue incoming post and frank outgoing mail.
- Log faults and liaise with the local site office where necessary.
- Accountable for paper files and the archive filing system.
- Undertake routine duties under the supervision of the Team Leader and procedural guidelines.
- Provide comprehensive secretarial services to the Clinic Team, including copying, scanning and audio typing.
- Ensure notice boards and leaflets are up to date with relevant information.
- Update skills as necessary and attend mandatory training.
- Maintain unit filing systems, filing and retrieving records as required.
- Assist with the collection of statistical data as required.
- Maintain the archive system for patients and staff.

Job responsibilities- Processing telephone enquiries on behalf of the team.
- Inputting patient information onto the Trust electronic patient records.
- Scanning and organising outgoing and incoming post.
- Formatting clinical letters.
- Good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
- GCSEs including English & Maths/NVQ II or equivalent, or willing to work towards this qualification.
- General knowledge of office procedures with interest in Health Service Issues.
- Proficiency in the use of computerised systems especially Word & Excel to a level to enable the production of a high standard of finished work.
- Display the ability to exercise initiative, tact and judgement and be able to make decisions when required to do so.
- Computer skills for entering clinical notes on electronic patient record, IT skills.
