Research activity is positively encouraged and supported with opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues on a national and international scale. There is also access to regular supervision from within the hospital and externally with discussion.

Main duties of the job The post holder will lead and manage the ICU psychology services at both Barnet and Royal Free Hospitals. They will also provide direct clinical input into well-developed multi-professional teams of medical staff, therapies (physiotherapy, OT, Dietetics, Speech and Language Therapy) and nursing colleagues, and contribute to the comprehensive care of these patient groups in both inpatient and outpatient settings within the Royal Free Hospital ICU. There are interdependencies with other clinical teams in the hospital, such as Liaison Psychiatry and the Palliative Care Team. The post holder would also be expected to work at a divisional and directorate level within ICU, Anaesthetics and Theatres and support the psychological professions across the Trust.
