Job Description

Job Title: Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist
Band:Band 7
Location: Whitechapel, London
Working Hours:37.5 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking a Band 7 Occupational Therapist with specialised expertise in Orthopaedic care to join our team in Whitechapel, London. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Implementing safe and timely discharge from hospital for patients.
  • Carrying out independent assessments.
  • Educating patients and their relatives/carers about post-operative regimes.
  • Helping to prevent post-operative complications.
  • Prescribing complex equipment such as hoists.
  • Assessing patient progress and rehabilitation.
  • Being professionally and legally responsible for your own work.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in Orthopaedics within an acute hospital setting.
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Holding a relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Previous NHS experience is desirable.
  • Ability to build good rapport with patients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
