Band 6 Midwife - Cheltenham

Vivid Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Midwife to join our client in Cheltenham.

We are looking for a confident and experienced Midwife who can work across a range of maternity settings, including Maternity Ward and Triage, Delivery Suite and Birthing Units.

The Role

As a Band 6 Midwife, you will provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based care to women and their babies throughout the maternity pathway. You will be expected to work flexibly across different areas of the service and manage a varied clinical workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality midwifery care to women and newborns
• Work across Maternity Ward, Triage, Delivery Suite and Birthing Units
• Assess, monitor and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Support women throughout labour, birth and the postnatal period
• Undertake antenatal and postnatal assessments
• Work collaboratively with obstetricians and the wider MDT
• Promote a positive and personalised experience for women and families
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
• Follow local policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements
• Support junior staff and contribute to a positive team environment

Requirements

• Registered Midwife with valid NMC registration
• Recent Band 6 or equivalent midwifery experience
• Recent experience working within a maternity setting
• Experience across Delivery Suite, Maternity Ward, Triage or Birthing Units
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work confidently across different maternity areas
• Commitment to providing safe, compassionate, patient-centred care
• Right to work in the UK
