The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Immunology. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory's service.

Position: Biomedical Scientist

Banding: 6

Location: Tooting

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 17:00 pm

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 4 Months

Rate: £24.00 - £30.00

What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?

Undertake a range of diagnostic tests and screening procedures through to initial interpretation.

Ensure that test procedures are carried out according to SOPs, assess that other junior staff are competent and participate in their regular review and update.

Undertake technical validation of highly complex results from laboratory investigations to ensure accuracy and precision as specified by laboratory protocols.

Authorise reports when given the delegated responsibility.

Contribute towards a culture of quality in the department and comply and promote the quality initiatives within the department consistent with maintaining laboratory accreditation.

Organize own work tasks or activities.

Ensure all work is completed timely and to satisfactory standards and will seek advice from senior staff when required.

Essential Requirements for this Biomedical Scientist position:

• HCPC registered
• UK NHS or private sector Immunology laboratory experience
• Must have experience with Immunology.
