The eRostering Team at University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) supports safe staffing by managing the Trust's electronic rostering system.
Working PatternMainly weekends and bank holidays, working 08:00-16:00 shifts. Hybrid working applies and, as UHB is a multi-site organisation, occasional cross site working may be required. Flexibility to service needs is essential.

Main duties of the jobThis post provides cover for the Support Desk, responding to service user queries via email and rostering administration. You will act as a first point of contact, supporting bank administration and related enquiries, user access and permissions, and general eRostering system support. Your work supports frontline services by ensuring staff can access and use the system efficiently and accurately.
About YouYou will be motivated, organised, and reliable, with strong communication and customer service skills. You will enjoy logical problem solving, working with systems, and have good IT skills with excellent attention to detail. You will be keen to learn and develop your knowledge of eRostering and related systems.

Person Specification Qualifications- Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A C) or GCSE Level 9 4
- NVQ Level 2 in business administration or similar or equivalent experience in an administrative environment through on the job training
- Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience of using IT systems
- Experience of working in a busy office / customer care environment
- Understand confidentiality and apply the principles in everyday working practice
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of equality and diversity
- Experience of working in Healthcare
- Good communication / customer care skills both written and verbal demonstrating sympathy and compassion
- Good organisation skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to deal professionally with enquiries from staff, service users and stakeholders
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to pay attention to detail where there are predictable interruptions to the work pattern
- Ability to deal with stressful situations and sensitive issues
- Work effectively and flexibly as part of a team to meet the needs of the services
- Confident in dealing with people at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations
- Ability to travel to multiple sites
