Backbook Sales Executive

Summary of This Role

An exciting opportunity to join a growing sales team within Global Payments, focused on driving revenue from our existing customer base. We're looking for a target-driven sales professional who thrives on upselling, cross-selling, and closing deals over the phone. This role is focused on unlocking value within an existing customer base - not cold calling or prospecting for potential pipeline. You'll work with warm customers to identify opportunities, pitch solutions, and convert sales, playing a key role in driving business growth.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contact existing customers to identify and close upsell opportunities
• Own the full sales cycle from discovery through to close
• Deliver compelling product pitches and proposals
• Cross-sell and upsell payment solutions to maximise account value
• Handle inbound calls and convert them into sales opportunities
• Build strong relationships while maintaining a clear focus on revenue generation
• Accurately manage pipeline, activity, and sales outcomes in CRM
• Stay up to date with products, pricing, and payments industry trends

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in B2B sales, telesales, or revenue growth roles
• Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong closing skills, objection handling, and commercial awareness
• Confident selling over the phone in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Experience in upselling, cross-selling, or retention sales highly desirable
• Resilient, competitive, and motivated by earnings and performance

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary + uncapped commission (OTE €49K + accelerator bonus for over achievers). Strong earning potential linked directly to sales performance.
