This role will manage the delivery of business requirements for back-office applications that integrate with our CRM, local & peripheral applications.

Ricoh is currently recruiting for a Back Office Technical Consultant based in Watford. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Technical Consultant with strong expertise in system integrations, Oracle modules, and HR solutions (specifically SAP). This role focuses on providing technical consulting and support for back-office systems, ensuring seamless integrations, optimizing internal processes, and maintaining the reliability of key business applications.

The candidate should have a deep understanding of Oracle applications, SAP HR modules, middleware, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver technology solutions that meet business requirements.

The role is crucial in modernizing Ricoh's applications landscape by supporting application upgrades, migrations, and replacements for critical business applications.

What you will be doing
  • Managing day-to-day vendor relationships for outsourced services, ensuring delivery aligns with technical specifications.
  • Supporting software licensing and security teams to monitor and manage enterprise application licensing and security.
  • Identifying and documenting technical business requirements and configurations using industry-standard tools.
  • Creating high-quality functional specifications to detail business processes and facilitate technical builds, especially for integrations between ERP, SAP, CRM, and peripheral systems.
  • Supporting clients through testing cycles and Go Live, including test script creation.
  • Managing change requests throughout development and testing phases, ensuring adherence to project standards.
  • Liaising with vendors like Oracle and SAP to manage client SRs and stay updated on Cloud releases.
  • Ensuring on-time project delivery and managing client expectations to achieve satisfaction.
  • Assisting with risk and change management on projects.
  • Advising clients on options, risks, and impacts, and effectively communicating project deliverables.
  • Identifying opportunities for system and process improvements, including system optimization, performance, and security compliance to meet standards and regulations.
You will ideally have
  • Proven experience in technical consulting, system integrations, Oracle applications, and SAP HR modules.
  • Educational background to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate complex messages clearly.
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Financials, or similar modules.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP HR modules (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HCM) and experience with integration platforms like MuleSoft, Oracle Integration Cloud, SAP PI/PO.

Additional preferred skills include:

  • Database management, SQL, scripting languages.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and back-office software.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP, Web Services.
  • Understanding of security protocols and data protection.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices.
  • Relevant certifications (Oracle, SAP, integration technologies).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based ERP and HR technologies.
  • Understanding of cloud management principles and automation tools.
