Automation Engineer DeltaV

This position will be responsible for developing,implementing, and overseeing project execution for automation aspects ofprojects to deliver a consistently high-quality product with a strict adherence to company policies and standards as well as creating the automation standardsand specifications. Works with team to design and implement new end-to-endtechnological solutions, and/or update current solutions, and ensures thatproject deliverables are met. Builds a holistic understanding of how solutionsfit into the broader enterprise context and works to build an ecosystem ofintegrated technologies.

Responsibilities

• ProvideEngineering services and lead a team of Process Automation Systemengineers in developing information for creation of design documentationincluding:

• Preparationof Configuration Functional Design Specifications
• Consultingwith the Safety Instrumented System Engineer to develop control strategiesfor Basic Process Control Systems
• Implementingnew product technologies where appropriate such as DeltaV,
• ConfiguringDeltaV Control Systems from Control Narratives & P&IDs usingFunction Blocks
• StructuredText and Sequential Function Charts.

• 8-10 years DeltaV experience
• 5+ years as a technicallead on medium to large DeltaV projects
• Ideally some migrationexperience
• Understanding of CSV onlarge capital projects.

Requirements

Provideautomation consulting and batch architect consulting for customersapplying S88 project concepts.

• Workwith customers and project teams to solve complex control problemsrequiring industry expertise.
• Workwith customers to develop project methodologies that will affect theirstandards and develop functional requirements based on observation of theprocess or input from process engineers.
• Solvecomplex process control problems in the industry and start up complexsystems at customer's plants.
• Lead,plan and organize the work of project teams, and act as a mentor forindividuals within the group.
• Design,implement and test controls for a complex process or area of a project andprovide application and process expertise.
• Leaddepartment efforts to improve processes.
• Candidatemust have good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required Skills

• BSin a related engineering field (e.g., Electrical, Instrument, Chemical)
• Minimum5 years Industry experience
• Minimum5 years DeltaV configuration experience with both Batch and Continuousapplications
• Processcontrol project experience required.
• Abilityto develop proposals and quote large complex batch projects.
• Industrybest practices finder and champion. Understand, in detail, concepts ofcurrent advance control techniques and the control requirements of mostcommonly used process equipment.
• Abilityto solve process control problems using these techniques.
• Experiencein startup of large automation projects.
