Achieve Professionals is recruiting an Audit and Accounts Senior on behalf of an accountancy practice based in Oldham.

This role offers a varied workload across audit, accounts preparation and tax. It would suit an experienced practice professional who can manage audits from planning through to completion and confidently prepare accounts for a range of clients.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Preparing accounts in accordance with FRS 102 and, where applicable, IFRS.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information, resolve queries and communicate progress.
• Managing your workload to meet assignment deadlines.
• Using CCH software for accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Supporting personal tax work where your experience allows.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience within an accountancy practice, including responsibility for end-to-end audits.
• Strong working knowledge of FRS 102; experience of IFRS would be an advantage.
• The ability to prepare accounts and handle corporation tax compliance confidently.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and clear client communication.
• Experience using CCH, although this is not essential.
• Personal tax experience would be a bonus.

The role would particularly suit someone who has completed their studies or is qualified by experience. Candidates currently studying may also be considered, depending on their experience.

The team works predominantly from the office, with working from home considered on an ad hoc basis. This would suit someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues in an office environment.
