Duration: Fixed-Term/Secondment - 3 years in the first instance

Role Responsibilities

The Associate Postgraduate Dean will provide leadership and oversight of regional and national postgraduate programs, including training in the North and East regions of the Scotland Deanery. The role involves engaging with trainees, trainers, and external bodies to support postgraduate education across Scotland.

Candidate Requirements

• Applicants must be trained doctors in Scotland, holding a substantive NHS consultant post.
• Must confirm prior to interview that their employer supports a Service Level Agreement within their job plan.
• Qualifications: MB ChB or equivalent, GMC's General and Specialist Registers.
• Experience: Knowledge of GMC and Scotland Deanery quality frameworks, and practical experience in NHS medical education and training.
