The Executive Education division at Saïd Business School delivers innovative, world class learning experiences to leaders and organisations across the globe. We are seeking an exceptional Associate Director of Product and Portfolio Management (New Product Development) to play a pivotal role in embedding best practice processes and driving rigorous, market informed product innovation within Executive Education.
Reporting to the Director of Product and Portfolio Management, this role focuses on operationalising the innovation strategy and enabling agile, disciplined execution of new programme development across online, on campus and blended formats.
Working in close collaboration with faculty, learning designers, market researchers and commercial teams, you will coordinate and improve how new programme opportunities are identified, evaluated, prioritised and brought to market. This is a strategic, hands on role focused on driving innovation practices rather than owning portfolio strategy or leading large teams.
Key responsibilities- Champion and embed a clear, iterative and data informed new product development (NPD) process with defined stages, feedback loops and performance evaluation mechanisms.
- Coordinate discovery sprints and validation workstreams to assess and develop new programme concepts in collaboration with faculty and market facing teams.
- Maintain and monitor a transparent new product pipeline, working closely with the Director to support governance, prioritisation and resource decisions.
- Implement and continuously refine a framework for product ideation, business case development and go/no go evaluation.
- Facilitate cross functional collaboration to ensure efficient execution of NPD projects from concept to launch.
- Apply commercial and pedagogical insight to ensure new products align with market needs, faculty strengths and the School's strategic direction.
- Oversee the management, and line manage the Product and Portfolio Manager for Executive Education's online portfolio, including collaboration with Oxford Saïd Online to support the planning and delivery of online programme initiatives.
You will be an experienced product development or innovation professional with proven success in executive education, higher education or professional learning contexts. You will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking and the ability to manage complex, multi stakeholder projects within matrixed environments. Excellent communication and coordination skills are essential, alongside a structured and strategic mindset.
All applications must include a CV, Supporting Statement/Cover Letter and Current Salary.
The closing date for applications is 17 November 2025 at 12.00 noon. Interviews likely held 21 November 2025. Please note, this vacancy may close earlier than advertised if we receive a high number of suitable applications.
