Associate Director Mechanical Engineering

Location: Glasgow, Scotland (Glasgow office)

We specialise in all aspects of mechanical engineering across multiple sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education. We provide industry leading solutions throughout the project lifecycle, delivering value through client support and construction phases.

Your Role
  • Own and direct teams undertaking technical design work following relevant standards and codes.
  • Define briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
  • Manage time and budgets to meet project milestones and programmes.
  • Collaborate closely with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Set quality assurance standards in design.
  • Develop and manage mechanical engineering capability within the practice.
Qualifications
  • Chartered or Fellow Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, screens and chemical dosing plants, and a deep understanding of UK design standards and practices.

Security clearance may be required for this role. The vetting process is conducted through United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of UK residency of five years or longer. If needed, this will be discussed during the interview. Candidates should not reference current or past security clearances in application materials.
