Job Overview

AtkinsRéalis Ireland is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director to join our Bridge Design Team in Dublin. This role offers an outstanding opportunity for career advancement and the potential to progress to Technical Director.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a local team of Bridge engineering professionals.
  • Drive business development and manage tender bids for professional services contracts.
  • Conduct short, medium, and long term resource planning to ensure project success.
  • Provide design input and oversee the delivery of structural aspects of projects.
  • Manage medium and large sized projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are delivered.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external parties, including clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Assist in undertaking the duties of the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP).
Qualifications & Experience
  • Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Relevant experience as Bridge / Senior Bridge Engineer on Irish projects post graduation.
  • Chartered Bridge Engineer (CEng, MIStructE, or equivalent).
  • Self motivated, enthusiastic, and hardworking with a flexible approach.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from a technical perspective.
  • Experience in client facing roles with excellent communication skills.
  • Previous staff management experience.
  • Proactive approach with a track record of delivering high quality services to clients in both the public and private sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in bridge design, inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation.
  • Proficient in Eurocodes and structural analysis software (MIDAS Civil or LUSAS).
  • Experience in the design and refurbishment of concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
  • Proven experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ireland and/or UK experience.
