Associate Director - Quantum

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead drafting of expert witness reports for dispute resolution
• Develop strategies to recover performance on distressed projects
• Review project records to establish quantum for claims/disputes
• Conduct forensic analysis of tender, contract, and claims documentation
• Manage stakeholders and chair meetings with clients and advisors
• Analyze project performance to identify root causes of issues
• Provide strategic advice throughout the construction cycle
• Manage cash flow proactively

Additional responsibilities include developing claims, guiding junior staff, and interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 10+ years in construction and engineering industries
• Experience with claims as a contractor or senior QS/consultant
• Familiarity with dispute proceedings and adjudication
• Knowledge of contracts like NEC and JCT
• Proven ability to lead claims pursuits and negotiate resolutions
• Strong report writing skills

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar
• Master's degree in construction law or related field preferred
• Chartered status (MRICS, MInstCES) or working towards it is a plus
