WORKING PATTERN:Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week or 60% of your time at one of our office sites

With over 20 years of experience, FS is a cornerstone of our Institutional Coverage business, delivering innovative fund finance solutions across private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate. Our global team of around 30 professionals, based in London and New York, manages deep, long-standing relationships with top-tier clients, helping them invest in real-world businesses and projects that drive growth and transformation.

As an Associate Director in our Portfolio Management team, you'll play a key role in overseeing and enhancing our existing fund finance facilities. Working closely with a dedicated client set, you'll ensure our portfolio remains robust, compliant and strategically aligned with our risk appetite and return objectives. You'll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team that values expertise, innovation and client focus, and you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of fund finance at one of the UK's most respected financial institutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the structuring, execution and ongoing management of existing fund finance facilities, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and return targets.

  • Manage a portfolio of senior loan assets, including performance monitoring, utilisation tracking and execution of credit renewals.

  • Prepare and present high-quality credit proposals and contribute to internal and external approval forums.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across relevant systems for your assigned client set.

  • Coach and mentor Associates, supporting their development and contributing to a high-performing team culture.

  • Manage the team's third-party capital programme, which involves leading all aspects of asset pool management and communicating with investors.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in private markets investing, fund finance, leveraged finance or equity, with a strong understanding of fund structures.

  • A client-first attitude and the ability to build trusted relationships with sophisticated stakeholders.

  • Strong credit risk analysis skills, particularly in the context of fund finance.

  • Working knowledge of fund finance products across the risk spectrum, including subscription facilities, liquidity facilities and NAV facilities.

  • Solid understanding of market dynamics and the strategic role of Financial Sponsors within a large financial institution.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
