What you'll be doing The Associate Director of Business Strategy & Intelligence will be responsible for providing strategic planning and analysis support to senior management within Verizon's business organization and manage four Senior Managers. The team manages over 150 requests/year supporting pursuits in excess of $2 billion/year. This role will involve identifying growth opportunities through market research, competitive assessments, and financial modeling; developing go-to-market strategies and partnerships; and supporting the launches of new products and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management, product development/management, operations management, or consulting, as well as excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
What we're looking for
Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience within technology/telecommunications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to articulate complex concepts concisely.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Knowledge of market research methods, financial modeling techniques, and business intelligence tools.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proactive approach to problem solving, with willingness to challenge status quo.
Self-motivated and results oriented.

- Top Account Strategy/Intelligence: In alignment with BD/Account Teams, deliver recurring and real-time analysis of customer budgets, contracting trends, buying patterns, and strategies
- Responsible for key Wireless/Wireline strategy efforts related to E-Rate, Digital Inclusion, Contract RFPs, Analysis of competitive contracts, & Channel Strategy for new wireless connection opportunities, including connected laptops.
- Strategic Account Plans: Lead the baseline intelligence and strategy development in support of BD and Account teams, driving deliverable consistency across SAPs
- Initiative Support: Lead strategy development for critical initiatives (like Digital Inclusion) in support of the Public Sector, including developing intelligence and recommendations
- Opportunity Strategy and Intelligence: Lead strategy discussions in support of BD/Account Teams to deliver recommendations supporting pursuit strategy based on competitive, partnering, and customer/agency intelligence
- Contract Strategy/Expansion: Identify and lead the contract strategy for expanding the VZ footprint onto new contracts
