What it's about

In this position you will be part of the Private Credit Investment team in London, with responsibilities across all aspects of direct lending investing in the UK mid-market, including sourcing, due diligence, execution and ongoing monitoring

Responsibilities:

  • Investment due diligence including review of diligence reports, interviewing industry experts and attending management meetings and site visits
  • Financial analysis including detailed LBO modelling and scenario testing
  • Preparation of investment memoranda and participation in Investment Committee discussions
  • Portfolio management activities including monitoring of portfolio asset performance and assessing waiver and amendment requests
  • Assist senior investment team members in building relationships with sponsors and other external parties, with an excellent opportunity to leverage and expand your professional UK network
What we expect
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a buyside investment role (private credit / private equity), debt advisory, management consulting, investment banking (leveraged finance, M&A) or transaction services
  • A passion for and commitment to investing in UK mid-market companies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop close relationships with UK industry participants over time
  • Proficient in Excel, with demonstrated ability to build and develop LBO models
  • Excellent academic record with Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top UK university or equivalent institution
  • Fluent oral and written English skills
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Please note that Partners Group will not sponsor a work visa for this position
