Associate Accountant

Position: Associate Accountant

Location: Near Kerkrade (Hybrid/On-site)

Client: Global Leading Medical Devices

Type: Contract

Planet Pharma are we are partnered with a Global Leading Medical Devices Organisation, who are currently hiring for an Associate Accountant to join their team on a hybrid basis, based near Heerlen, Netherlands. The role will be a contract role for 5 months!

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly financial close processes and related transactions.
• Review and post revenue journal entries.
• Use and support multiple financial systems (e.g., SAP, Blackline, Onestream, Hyperion, Redwood, Snowflake).
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards.
• Drive process improvement, standardization, automation, and documentation.
• Perform and monitor balance sheet reconciliations, resolving aged items.
• Act as a business partner, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC).
• Support audit activities and address any identified risks or issues.

Main Requirements:

• Strong experience with Excel, and SAP
• Experience with analytical tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
• Relevant Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics
• Advanced skills in Excel, PowerBi and/or other data spreadsheet programs;
• Tech/Automation experience
• Advanced level of English; written and spoke
