We are Quorum Consultancy, a small, remote team focused on building a strong consultancy.

If you have a day job but want more than just a regular paycheck, we are looking for a Founding Cyber & IT Associate to join our team.

The Mission: We are targeting small-to-medium project bids and consultancy contracts.

We need a technical lead to own the Cyber Security, Software, and Business IT service line.

This is a grassroots, "invest-your-time" role where we build the brand, win the work, and share the rewards.

Who You Are: A UK-based Senior Engineer or Security Analyst with a "day job" but a "founder" mindset.

Someone who can build a service from scratch (templates, pricing, delivery). A professional who understands that in the beginning, we invest time to build the equity and the brand.

The Deal: This isn't a 9-to-
5. It's a project-based partnership.

When we win a bid, you lead the technical delivery and take the lead share of that service's revenue.

As we grow, this evolves into a core pillar of the business.

• The Formal Job Description (JD)Role Title: Founding Associate
• Cyber Security & IT Infrastructure Reporting to: The Partners Status: Equity-Building / Project-Based (Remote)
• Purpose of the Role To design, pitch, and deliver the technical roadmap for Quorum Consultancy's clients.

You will be the "Face of Tech" for the firm, bridging the gap between high-level business strategy and robust IT security.

• Key Responsibilities Service Architecture: Develop Quorum's "Service Menu" (e.g., Cyber Essentials readiness, M365 Security Audits, vCISO advisory). Bid Support: Collaborating with the partners to write technical sections of project tenders and client proposals.

Client Delivery: Hands on delivery of IT and Security projects once won.

Brand Building: Contributing technical insights for Quorum's LinkedIn and marketing to establish us as thought leaders.

• Technical Requirements Cyber Security: Deep knowledge of UK standards (Cyber Essentials/IASME) and threat mitigation.

Infrastructure: Expert level administration of Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud-based networking.

Business IT: Ability to advise SMEs on software selection, VOIP, and remote working hardware.

• The "Grassroots" Requirement Time Investment: Commitment to weekly syncs and project work outside of standard "9-5" hours.

Self Starter: You must be comfortable working without a pre existing back office.
