Associate / Associate Director - Structural Engineer
Location: Exeter
Discipline: Structural Engineering
Salary: £70k - £90k DoE Negotiable + Bonus + Benefits

An independent and forward-thinking structural and civil engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Exeter. This is a key leadership position offering the opportunity to shape the direction of projects and mentor junior staff within a thriving office, while collaborating across multiple UK locations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take a lead role in structural design and project delivery across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and retail developments.
  • Manage and mentor engineers and technicians to support technical excellence and career progression within the team.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues in other offices to ensure consistent project quality and delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership, review work for accuracy and compliance, and contribute to the development of internal design standards.
  • Ensure commercial awareness is maintained throughout project lifecycles.

What You'll Need

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Membership of the ICE or IStructE.
  • Minimum of 8 years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering.
  • Proven track record in leading projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality designs under tight deadlines while ensuring team coordination and client satisfaction.
