Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a well-established, independent planning consultancy in the search for a Town Planner to join their Exeter team.

The practice is known for delivering commercially focused and creatively tailored planning advice, guiding projects from pre-purchase feasibility through to planning submission, negotiation, and satisfying planning conditions.

As a Town Planner, you will:

• Assist with planning applications, appeals, and enforcement casework

• Conduct due diligence, site searches, and development appraisals

• Manage planning audits, development strategies, and risk assessments

• Prepare planning statements, LDCs, and represent clients in policy consultations

• Collaborate within a skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality results

We're looking for individuals who have:

• A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI-accredited preferred)

• Experience in planning consultancy or local authority planning roles

• Strong report-writing, communication, and organisational skills

• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

• A proactive, commercially aware, and client-focused approach
