We are looking for a highly organised Assistant to support two Directors and handle essential studio coordination. This is a full-time role (35 hours) with hybrid working in London. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' demonstrable experience in an administrative or assistant position, ideally within the cultural sector.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly organised Assistant to support our two Directors and handle essential studio coordination. This full-time role suits someone with a minimum of three years of demonstrable experience in a similar administrative or assistant position, ideally within the cultural sector or creative industries. The role requires proactivity, attention to detail, technological curiosity, and confident written and spoken English.
Salary and terms: £36-40k per annum (assessed based on experience). One-year contract with the opportunity to become permanent and progress towards an Executive Assistant role. Hybrid: 3 in-studio days at Somerset House, London (usually Mon/Tues/Thurs; may vary with projects) plus 2 days from home. Occasional out-of-hours work for international clients or partners. 25 days' holiday plus public holidays plus a 5-day Christmas studio closure (subject to project schedules). Training allowance aligned to the role's development. Eligibility for a performance-based bonus (for permanent employees post-probation).

Job Requirements- A minimum of 3 years' demonstrable experience in an administrative or assistant role supporting senior staff. Clear evidence of this in your application is expected.
- Exceptionally well organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and spoken English. You should be able to write clearly and confidently on someone else's behalf.
- Comfortable using digital tools such as Google Workspace, calendars, project management platforms, and accounting software.
- Technologically curious and eager to learn new tools. We use a range of digital platforms across the studio and this will evolve.
- Ability to plan ahead, problem-solve, and re-prioritise calmly when priorities shift.
- Ability to think strategically about priorities, interdependencies, and outcomes.
- An interest in, and ideally experience within, the cultural sector or creative industries.
- Discretion and good judgement in handling sensitive information.
- Manage the Directors' diaries, correspondence, travel, and itineraries.
- Draft and send communications on behalf of the Directors with clarity and professionalism.
- Support client and partner communication, follow-ups, and relationship management.
- Assist with the Directors' expenses, coordinate meeting bookings, and visitor passes (approximately 20% of the role).
- Assist with the studio's organisational and administrative work (approximately 20% of the role).
