Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Assistant Teaching Professor who will act as the Nuclear Energy MPhil Course Director and will be based at the Department of Engineering's Central Cambridge site.

Energy is at the core of our modern economy and the scale of its influence has begun to have a measurable impact on our environment. The Nuclear Energy MPhil course recognizes that although the prospects for nuclear energy are now better than they have ever been, the nuclear sector is situated within a wider market for energy technologies. The course is an intensive 11 month, full time Masters with the benefit of a Nuclear Industry Club comprising of a number of key nuclear energy and engineering companies. The taught element of the course offers a flexible curriculum, with a significant amount of bespoke teaching. Students will gain a range of transferable skills and the opportunity to attend a number of field trips and visits. Students undertake research projects which often lead to published papers, or act as a stepping stone to a PhD within the Engineering Department. The Course Director will have responsibility for the planning, development and delivery of the Nuclear Energy MPhil.

We are seeking an individual to take overall responsibility for the course, which will include all aspects of the planning, development, management, delivery and admissions of the course. In addition, you will directly contribute teaching, by delivering course content, and running some research projects. You will support education, learning, and research at the highest international levels of excellence.
