Confined Competition: This is a confined competition limited to the Education and Training Candidate Sector Pool i.e., eligible administration & library staff within SETU, Technological Universities, Institutes of Technology and Education & Training Boards at specific grades.

• Salary:The gross salary scale applicable to the grade of Assistant Staff Officer is €39,490 - €56,015 p.a on a full-time basis (rates effective 01/06/2026).

The Grade IV Administrative Officer in Taught Postgraduate Admissions supports the end to end processing of EU postgraduate applications across SETU. The postholder manages applications through application and Banner systems, checks documentation, assesses eligibility against entry requirements, liaises with academic departments for decisions, and issues offers in line with agreed timelines.

The role responds to applicant queries by email and phone, provides clear guidance on fees, deposits and documentation, and ensures accurate data capture and reporting. The postholder works closely with Marketing, Registry and Faculty teams to support recruitment targets and conversion activity, while maintaining high standards of data protection, record keeping and customer service throughout the admissions cycle.
