OverviewVertigenius is an Irish medical technology company that specializes in the digital transformation of vestibular rehabilitation-the treatment of vertigo, dizziness, and balance disorders. Founded as a spin out from Trinity College Dublin, the company has developed a comprehensive platform that connects patients to clinicians. The solution centers on a specialized wearable head sensor that tracks head movements in real time and provides feedback during prescribed exercises. This hardware works in tandem with a clinician portal and a patient facing smartphone app, enabling remote monitoring and adjustment of rehabilitation programs.
The Associate Scientific Officer is a key scientific contributor, working under the direction of the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) in research, scientific and educational communications, and product development. This high impact, hybrid role requires a blend of clinical and scientific rigor to conduct research on Vertigenius and develop, test, and implement new features that are safe, effective, and grounded in vestibular rehabilitation principles.

- Content Creation: Author scientifically accurate, accessible content-including blogs, newsletters, and FAQs-to explain balance recovery concepts to a lay audience.
- Literature Monitoring: Maintain the company's internal library of peer reviewed literature, ensuring the product roadmap reflects current advancements in vestibular rehabilitation and Digital Therapeutics (DTx).
- Education: A clinical degree (PT, OT, AuD) with knowledge of vestibular and balance rehabilitation and a Master's or PhD in a related area with a strong emphasis on research.
- Experience: 1-2 years within a research, clinical, or med tech environment. Prior experience in a laboratory or startup setting is highly valued.
