Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Overview

A leading international civil engineering contractor is seeking to recruit an Assistant QS to join their civil engineering division working on water projects in Reading. The business is well-established and, with healthy order books, is enjoying a period of growth across all divisions. They work with a range of clients, including water authorities and major organisations across the energy sector. This is a hybrid working Assistant Quantity Surveying role.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Senior QS; assist with pricing and tenders for work
• Working to a schedule of rates
• Processing management accounts and reports
• Assessing dispute management and resolution
• Visiting sites in London once a week
• Working as part of a team with administration support provided

Experience / Qualifications

• Previous experience in civil engineering or utility sector preferred
• Good working level of Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with accounts departments and processing high-volume, low-value data
• Possibly experience in a commercial department or procurement
• First-class interpersonal and presentation skills
