Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Ealing

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: up to £40,000 per annum

Pyramid Plus South, a joint venture between A2Dominion and Mears Property Services, handles repairs, maintenance, compliance, planned replacements, and fire risk assessments. We complete over 46,000 repairs, 1,000 voids, and install 600 kitchens and bathrooms annually for 23,500 homes. With many upcoming projects, we are poised for continued growth!

About the Role:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support our social housing projects, ensuring a stable and profitable contract, and delivering excellent service through collaboration with local teams dedicated to the community.

This role involves assisting the Commercial & General Manager with commercial control and reporting, maintaining high standards in commercial activities related to housing properties, and ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards are met.

  • Support financial management of the joint venture maintenance contract to meet financial targets.
  • Interface effectively with clients, partner management, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Review, validate, and approve subcontractor quotations and variations in line with pricing agreements (NHF V7.2).
  • Manage subcontractor valuations and payments.
  • Value and measure work according to contractual pricing agreements.
  • Identify and agree on variations with the client.
  • Utilize NHF Schedule of Rates for cost and value management.
  • Adhere to MEARS commercial protocols and optimize asset management system usage.
Role Criteria:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial role within social housing, working with Voids & Repairs.
  • Experience with typical pricing agreements and frameworks, including mandatory knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates.
  • Proficiency in measuring works, generating, and agreeing applications.
  • Experience managing supply chain partners.
  • Strong financial reporting and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced IT skills, including Excel and Word.
