Assistant Project Manager - Highways Maintenance
Location: Cambridgeshire (Hybrid Working)
Pay: £230 PAYE - £300 Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35)
Contract: 9-12 Months
Our client, a leading Local Authority in Cambridgeshire, is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a significant highways maintenance programme across the county.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high profile infrastructure programme, working within a dedicated winter readiness workstream and supporting the delivery of preventative highway maintenance initiatives across an extensive network.
Responsibilities- Supporting the delivery of winter readiness and preventative highway maintenance programmes
- Coordinating district wide maintenance works programmes
- Working collaboratively with streetworks teams and external contractors
- Assisting with programme planning, monitoring, and reporting
- Ensuring works are delivered efficiently and to agreed timescales
- Supporting stakeholder engagement activities where required
- Conducting site visits and inspections as necessary
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working within highway maintenance
- Experience supporting infrastructure or highways projects/programmes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working with contractors and operational delivery teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery
