The Role:This Assistant Project Manager role sits within the Category Development Team in Hampshire County Council Property Services. The team acts as the central point for framework management, supplier and contract engagement, performance insight and external visibility, supporting both internal services and external partners.
The post supports several high profile framework and service areas including the Southern Construction Framework (SCF), Soft Facilities Management, and Construction & Hard Facilities Management.
The role plays an important part in how frameworks and services are presented, understood and engaged with - helping to develop clear, consistent and compelling content, communications and materials that support growth, participation and reputation across the organisation and the wider market.
Southern Construction Framework- Supporting supplier and market engagement through clear, well structured communications and framework materials
- Contributing to framework visibility, positioning and business development activity
- Helping translate contractor insight into targeted updates, briefings and engagement activity
- Supporting engagement and communications across services such as Cleaning, Waste, Grounds Maintenance and Security
- Coordinating updates, messaging and information for service users
- Supporting the presentation of performance, value and opportunities to service users and internal stakeholders
- Supporting supplier engagement and communication across multiple construction related frameworks
- Coordinating updates and messaging for opportunities and performance information
- Assisting with engagement activity that strengthens supplier, client and stakeholder relationships
You'll support a wide range of category planning and framework activities, with a particular focus on engagement, communication and external profile.
The role combines coordination, content development and stakeholder engagement, ensuring information is clear, consistent and accessible to both internal and external audiences.
You'll help shape how frameworks, opportunities and performance are communicated, using a range of formats and channels to support participation, understanding and value.
Key responsibilities include: Framework & Business Support- Support the day to day operation of frameworks and service categories
- Coordinate information flow between suppliers, clients and internal teams
- Assist with monitoring KPIs, performance data and continuous improvement activity
- Support reporting, dashboards and insight that inform decision making
- Coordinate with corporate teams to plan and deliver communications, updates and engagement activity
- Help develop and coordinate framework materials, updates and engagement content
- Support the promotion of opportunities, improvements and success stories across appropriate channels
- Ensure messages and information are clear, consistent and aligned across stakeholders
- Support the use of digital platforms to increase awareness and engagement
- Help shape how frameworks and services are represented to the wider market through events, materials and communications
- Support planning and delivery of events, briefings and engagement activity
- Act as a coordination point for external facing communications and updates
This role would suit someone with:
- A background or interest in communications, engagement, content, or business development, who enjoys working in a complex, multi stakeholder environment
- Experience developing or coordinating content, communications or engagement materials
- Confidence producing clear, professional written content for different audiences
- Experience using digital platforms (e.g. websites, newsletters, social media or portals) to share updates and promote activity
- An eye for presentation, structure and consistency in documents and materials
