Assistant Merchandiser - Fashion

A leading fashion retailer is looking for an enthusiastic assistant merchandiser to join its dynamic merchandising team. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing assistant merchandiser or a strong merchandise assistant ready to take the next step within a fast-paced, multi-product retail environment.

The Role:

Reporting into the Merchandiser, you'll play a key role in managing stock, analysing trading performance and supporting the delivery of profitable seasonal ranges. Working closely with buying, merchandising and wider cross-functional teams, you'll help drive sales, maximise margin and ensure stock is in the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting stock management, forecasting and WSSI updates
• Producing and analysing weekly trade reports and performance insights
• Managing allocations and monitoring deliveries
• Assisting with markdowns, promotions and seasonal planning
• Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Supporting key sign-off meetings with detailed analysis and recommendations
• Helping identify opportunities to maximise sales and profit performance across multiple product categories

About You:

• Previous merchandising experience within retail or fashion
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capability
• Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Commercially aware with a strong interest in fashion retail
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Experience supporting planning, forecasting and trading decisions would be advantageous
