Assistant Manager

Overview

Assistant Manager - Full Time. Location: Corby, Northamptonshire. Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week. Salary: £31,449 - £32,648 per annum on a 43 hour contract. Benefits include 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package, and more. This is a permanent full-time position with shifts across 5 days per week, usually including at least one weekend shift. For full-time roles, availability across the week including weekends is typically required.

Pay and benefits are detailed as follows: salary between £31,449.60 - £32,648.16 per annum on a 43 hour contract, plus 30 days holiday each year, training and development opportunities, 15% staff discount in Farmfoods shops, uniform, life assurance, workplace pension, and access to a staff benefits package including virtual GP and discounted services and products.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Develop the team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Motivate and guide the team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

Requirements / Qualifications

• A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and be a trustworthy, reliable team member.
• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• To complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired, which will be sent via email and confirm any previous or unspent convictions; employment is subject to a satisfactory check.
