Assistant Manager - Full Time Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Winsford, Cheshire. This is a permanent full time position working a variety of shifts 5 days a week, usually including at least one weekend shift. Full time employees are expected to be fully flexible in their availability throughout the week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers
• Develop your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines keep the shop safe, clean and tidy
• Motivate and guide the team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members

• Some experience as manager, team leader or supervisor
• Must pass a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland)
• Full flexibility for availability across the week, including weekends
