Assistant Manager - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Bloxwich, West Midlands. We offer a permanent full-time position with a 43-hour contract over 5 days per week, usually including at least one weekend shift.

Flexible availability throughout the week, including weekends, is required for full-time positions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.
• Develop your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
• Motivate and guide your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

Qualifications

• Trustworthy and reliable, dependable to do your job to the best of your ability at all times.
• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Will complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if successful and offered the position.
