Position Details

Assistant Manager - Full Time

• Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week.
• Pay: £31,449 - £32,648 per annum.

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Clyde Gateway, Glasgow. This is a permanent full time position working a variety of shifts 5 days a week, usually including at least one weekend shift. Full time positions generally require flexibility with availability throughout the week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits

The salary offered is £31,449.60 - £32,648.16 per annum on a 43 hour contract.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and responsible for ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Take responsibility for motivating and guiding your team to ensure the control of operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

Qualifications

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• A people person who finds it easy to get on with everyone and builds strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable, as you are an important part of a small team.
• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Ability to complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS/Disclosure Scotland check (if successful and offered the position).
