Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Human Resources Manager to join our team. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be part of a four person team that plays an integral role in supporting the HR function, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring exceptional colleague engagement across the hotel. You will also work closely with the Area UK team to align local HR initiatives with wider business priorities and best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the HR Manager in day to day HR operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive the onboarding experience, ensuring every new colleague feels welcomed, supported, and connected to our culture from day one.
  • Manage HR administration including employee relations, payroll processing, and performance management.
  • Champion colleague engagement and recognition programmes to build a motivated, inclusive, and high performing culture.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and company policies, providing expert guidance and support to department leaders.
  • Coordinate internal communications and colleague events to strengthen teamwork and belonging.
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects that drive innovation, wellbeing, and professional growth within the hotel.
About you
  • Experienced Assistant Human Resources Manager (or in a similar senior HR role) within the hospitality industry.
  • Preferred experience in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and proven success in managing employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced setting.
  • Proficient in HR systems and technology, with strong organisational and analytical skills.
