Senior Commercial Lawyer (8+ PQE) - Assistant General Counsel

I am working with a successful international organisation to appoint an experienced commercial lawyer to join its established legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to work closely with senior stakeholders, manage complex transactions and provide strategic legal support across a diverse and fast-moving business.

As Assistant General Counsel, you will play a key role in advising the business on a wide range of commercial matters, helping teams achieve their objectives while managing legal risk and delivering practical solutions.

You will:

• Provide commercially focused legal advice to senior business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial agreements, including strategic partnerships, technology-related agreements, tenders and supplier arrangements.
• Support business growth initiatives and new opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across legal, commercial and operational teams.
• Manage relationships with external legal advisers.
• Contribute to wider legal team projects and initiatives.
• Support and develop junior members of the legal team.

About You

• 8+ years' post-qualified experience, some of which you will have gained in an international organisation.
• Strong experience negotiating complex, multi-party commercial agreements and advising on strategic business matters including technology, data protection and IP.
• Confident dealing with joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and managing relationships across a business.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
• A collaborative and proactive approach.
