Assistant Finance Business Partner

We're seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner who can handle and manipulate data, provide insightful analysis, and confidently communicate results. This role offers variety and a great opportunity to develop a career within finance business partnering.

You'll collaborate with Senior Finance Business Partners (FBPs) to help AXA Health achieve both short-term and strategic goals. You'll support front-line FBPs and wider teams on multiple projects by creating and sharing financial reports and insights. Building strong relationships within the AXA Health Finance team is essential for making well-informed financial decisions.

At AXA, we promote flexible working, allowing our people to balance home and office work effectively. You will work at least 40% of your week from our Tunbridge Wells office, moving to predominantly remote work from September 2025. 'Away from home' includes visiting the office, clients, or industry events.

What you'll be doing:

1. Building partnerships and collaborative relationships with AXA Health colleagues.
2. Delivering clear analysis to support business goals and long-term strategy.
3. Providing financial insights and recommendations to help customer groups understand business performance and the impact of new initiatives.
4. Creating financial performance reports and identifying areas for improvement and opportunities.
5. Supporting the development of comprehensive financial business cases and assisting FBPs to ensure operational, financial, and risk impacts are thoroughly understood before presentation to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
6. Assisting with post-implementation tracking, reporting actual performance against business case targets, using financial and non-financial data.
7. Working closely with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to meet corporate, statutory, and performance monitoring requirements.
8. Ensuring all deliverables are accurate, within scope, and timely.

What you'll bring:

• Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, matrix organization - essential.
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills - essential.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative work approach.
• Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and analyze complex data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Part or fully qualified accountant - preferred but not essential.
• Experience supporting the implementation of new financial and accounting processes - preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of pricing techniques, allocations, and profitability analysis - preferred but not essential.
