Job Description
What you'll be doing

The Assistant Curator: Parliamentary Art Collection is an exciting opportunity to support the care, development and interpretation of a nationally significant collection at the heart of UK Parliament. Working within the Heritage Collections team, you will contribute to a wide range of curatorial activities, including collections documentation, research, displays, interpretation projects and engagement with internal and external audiences. You will have the opportunity to work with artworks spanning historic commissions for the Palace of Westminster through to contemporary pieces, while developing your curatorial skills within the unique setting of the House of Commons.

This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, with an expectation of you spending 40% of your time in the office.

What we're looking for

Experience of working with collections within a museum, art gallery, historic house or similar heritage environment, with the ability to research, document and interpret collections within the field of art history.Knowledge of collections documentation practices, including working to Spectrum standards.Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality written content for a range of audiences, platforms, projects and communications.How to Apply
