Job Description
Job Title: Data Centre Assistant Critical Facilities Manager Business Unit: DCSI BU Purpose of the role:

The ACFM is a technical manager role who's primary purpose is to deliver 24/7/% reliability and availability of critical equipment which is required to sustain the critical environment. They have exceptional people skills to lead both direct and non direct reports, leasing with the local client management team. We are looking for an experienced technical manager to lead and manage the CBRE CE team on the Data Centre site to operate and maintain the critical facility infrastructure. The position has full responsibility for financial commitments, operational performance, technical and contractual requirements within the services provided. The ideal candidate will possess Data Centre or similar critical facility experience with strong technical, operational and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, mentor and manage the Critical Environments team on the contract.
  • Manage and develop a professional relationship with the client representatives at your Data Centres to create a positive customer experience.
  • Conduct Post-Incident and Root Cause Analysis reviews and communicate lessons learned to the client & CBRE teams.
  • To deliver a performance level which achieves and beats the KPI's and SLA's set down in the SOW.
  • Be the main point of contact during significant events or multi-discipline technical escalations occurring on site 24/7.
  • Development and management of all operational procedures and Drills within your Data Centres.
  • Financial responsibility for the budget spend for your Data Centres.
  • Drive for consistency in how CE activities are managed and promote collaboration and co-operation of efforts from CBRE CE teams at all levels.
  • Audit the CE team's efficiency and performance, develop efficiencies and innovations that benefit the client and CBRE.
  • Talent manage all CBRE staff on your site to ensure appropriate training plans, performance reviews and career progression is identified.
  • Motivate and develop a successful team by setting achievable targets, promoting accountability and sharing of information, provide constructive feedback, encourage new ideas and aligning priorities within the critical domain.
  • Ensure Data Centre coverage is maintained for 24/7 operations as per SOW.
  • Ensure Data Centre operations, business policies and processes are effectively communicated, implemented and adhered to at all times by all CBRE staff within the site.
  • Ensure both the clients and CBRE's, Quality, Health, Safety and Environment policies and processes are effectively implemented across both CBRE and subcontractors' activities.
  • Ensure appropriate control systems are in place to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.
  • Manage all annual maintenance service contracts within budgets and all contracts are accurately captured within the financial forecasting and technical planning documentation for the Data Centres
  • Manage all subcontractor's projects and break fix repairs within the data Centre. Ensure all accounts and documentation associated with these subcontractors are current and up to date.
  • Carry out quarterly subcontractor reviews providing continuous feedback to our suppliers to improve overall service delivery for the contract and that all contractual obligations are met.
  • Promote and maintain the RISE Values of CBRE.
  • Manage other tasks as directed by your senior management team.
Accountabilities
  • Reporting directly to the Contract/Account Manager
  • Accountability to the CBRE functional heads, as appropriate.
  • Maintains close working relationships with key client representatives.
  • Reporting directly to this position are all members of the Critical Environment CE Operations team on the site.
  • Financial responsibility for the full budget and financial management of the site. Minimum Qualification / Experience
  • Experience in critical facilities operations required.
  • Strong technical knowledge and background of Data Centre or Critical operations
  • Understanding and experience of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a Data Centre environment.
  • Prior operations management experience including team management, work scheduling, and performance reviews.
  • Finance with exposure to invoicing, budgets and general business accounts.
  • Advanced leadership skills to build an effective team by providing clear direction and defining priorities.
  • Strong understanding of CMMS Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and tools beneficial.
  • Experience of managing escalation and emergency issues.
  • Experience in vendor management, ability to manage and monitor progress to ensure objectives are achieved for outsourced support and projects.
  • Practical experience must include recruitment and line management/supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles

  • Numerate and computer literate. Intermediate to advanced software skills - MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Visio and Microsoft Project.

  • Has vision, and able to communicate this effectively. A role model for customer service excellence and politically astute.
