Assistant Accountant

Are you looking to develop your career in finance and progress into a Management Accountant position?

We are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team in Sheffield. Working closely with an experienced finance manager you will gain valuable experience across financial reporting, accruals and reconciliations and management accounting activities and this 12 month FTC could be a great stepping stone into a management accounts role.

Key Responsibilities

• Management accounts support including accruals, prepayments and income adjustments.
• Assist with ensuring income and expenditure are recognised in the correct accounting period.
• Transactional support including ledger duties
• Working closely with the finance manager

About You

• AAT studier, relevant accounting degree or relevant experience
• Previous experience within an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
• Experience with accruals, journals and month-end activities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
