Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full-time, ideally office-based 5 days per week

The Opportunity:
An elite US law firm is seeking a career paralegal to join its high-performing finance team in London. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a prestigious firm renowned for its international transactional work. The position is permanent and suited to an experienced paralegal who is looking to build a long-term career in legal support within asset finance. Key Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the finance department, the successful candidate will support the team on complex asset finance transactions. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting on a range of high-value finance matters, with particular focus on asset finance (aviation finance experience is highly desirable)

  • Managing and updating transaction checklists

  • Drafting, cloning, and preparing standard legal documents and ancillary documentation

  • Coordinating closings and managing related documentation

  • Preparing and organising signature packs, both in hard copy and digital format (using tools such as Docusign)

  • Collating executed documents, ensuring they are correctly dated, and preparing post-completion transaction bibles

  • Working closely with lawyers and clients to ensure efficient and smooth deal execution

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' paralegal experience in a finance and/or corporate department at a leading law firm

  • Demonstrable experience supporting closings and managing transactional processes

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of organisation and proactivity

  • Excellent drafting skills for standard documents and strong familiarity with document management protocols

  • Confidence using electronic signature platforms (e.g., Docusign) and preparing completion deliverables

  • A committed, professional approach with the ability to manage competing deadlines and high-volume workloads

Desirable:

  • Experience in asset finance, with aviation finance being a distinct advantage

  • Availability to work from the office five days per week, in line with the firm's preference

This position is ideal for an experienced paralegal seeking long-term career development in a top-tier legal environment, without pursuing solicitor qualification. The firm offers a collaborative and fast-paced setting where attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism are highly valued.
