Assessment Sales Consultant

Given the strategic importance of ELT assessment within OUP and significant growth of this activity in Spain, we are looking to reinforce the sales team by adding an Assessment Sales Consultant (ASC).
The ASC will be responsible for the delivery of key activities, supporting and reporting to the Business Development Manager for Assessment (BDMA), This is a crucial role in an expanding market that requires sound knowledge and experience of the assessment sector.
Key accountabilities:
- Driving the assessment business by managing existing Key Accounts and supporting the BDMA in sourcing new revenue opportunities and partnerships with educational institutions and regional governments.
- Meetings and presentations to educational communities (parents, students, teachers) that help drive business and brand awareness.
- Coordinating and supporting regional recognition through OUPE sales managers for OUP's ELT assessment proficiency products.
- Working alongside the BDMA to monitor market trends and competitor activities that help identify opportunities and stay ahead of industry developments.
- Collaborate with the BDMA, marketing and product teams to develop sales campaigns and promotional activities, ensuring key accounts are integrated into the assessment strategy.
- Analyse key account sales data and metrics to track performance and support the BDMA in making data-driven decisions that are aligned to customer needs.
- Use customer insight to help drive effective segmentation and targeting within the assessment stakeholder spectrum, whilst building and measuring data that helps increase brand loyalty and customer retention.
- Effective liaison with internal/external stakeholders helps build strong, successful relationships that maximise business opportunities.
- Provide market feedback and professional know-how alongside the BDMA to enhance the knowledge and skill base of OUP España sales teams.
- Collaborate with the BDMA on assessment product usage analyses that allow suggestions for adaptation of assessment policies, products and their platforms to help develop and enhance customer functionalities, business operations and models.
This is an office-based role in Madrid that requires frequent travel.
Skills and experience:
- Demonstrable track record of key account management or sales-related experience preferably in the assessment industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the ELT assessment market in Spain.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English up to a C1 level
