Join highly regarded secondary schools across Leeds and Wakefield, supporting students aged 11-18 with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs. These schools provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student is supported to thrive academically and personally.
A Behaviour / Pastoral / SEMH Support role allows you to:
- Mentor students one-to-one or in small groups to improve engagement and behaviour.
- Support interventions for SEMH, attendance, and wellbeing.
- Work with the pastoral team to create a positive school culture and inclusive environment.
- Assist with behaviour management in lessons and across the school site.
- Contribute to programmes that develop resilience, emotional regulation, and social skills.
Key focus areas include:
- Behaviour and engagement support
- SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) interventions
- Mentoring and guidance for vulnerable or disengaged students
- Supporting inclusion and positive school culture
- Communication, relationship building, and conflict resolution skills
What this role offers:
- Pay: £101.40-£130 per day
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:45 pm
- First hand experience in secondary school behaviour, pastoral, and SEMH support
- Opportunities to shadow experienced behaviour leads, pastoral teams, and inclusion specialists
- Ideal for graduates or aspiring behaviour/pastoral/SEMH professionals
- Develop skills in mentorship, empathy, communication, and resilience
This Secondary School Support role starts immediately and will run through the academic year, with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position for the right candidate.
